Costumes in 'Breakfast Club'

In the Breakfast club the costume helped to define the different stereotypes in breakfast club. However due to the fact that breakfast club was made in 1985, it is much harder to identify the different stereotypes through the costume in comparison to the present and modern era. 

Characters in 'Breakfast Club'

Claire-

Claire's Father-

• Burberry Scarf (Expensive designer)
• Suit & Blazer 

It gives us the typical stereotypical that Claire and her dad are very wealthy and rich due to their costumes. 

Brian-

• Basic Beanie hat 
• Brown Fleece 
• XL Backpack 

Judging Brian's costume we can assume that Brian is a 'nerd'. The fact that his head is down may signify that he doesn't care about his appearance. 

Andre-

• Big Baseball jacket (blue)
• Matching blue hoody
• Logo of teams on baseball jacket

Through Andre's costume we can see that he may be labelled as the stereotypical 'Jock' as he has got 'Swagger'. He is also advertising sports, this shows that he is a Jock.
