I ended up doing this successfully including editing techniques such as match cuts, transition shots such as cuts, fades, and dissolves.
For the nerd I used very fast match cuts for his opening scene. This demonstrates how keen and also happy he is to experience the first day of summer camp come to life.
I also conveyed a lot of close-ups and extreme close- ups in his opening scene so that the audience can see his facial expressions as to how cheerful he is because he has been waiting for this day for a long while.
For the Jock I used the use of match cuts as well at a good pace. This was because he woke up late. Therefore I used match cuts to connect his movement with different angles to make it seem as one camera.
I also included a mid-angle in the Jock's scene so that the audience can grab a insight of his stereotype due to the fact that he is with a girl. I included the because it represents the Jocks:
- Coolness
- Popularity
- Good looks/ Handsomeness
This automatically gives the Jock a stereotype with out the audience not having to look at his other elements of mise en scene represented such as costume.
