Movie production comparisons

First, Film 4. I stated in the pitch that we would like small production companies like Film 4 and similar ones to produce our teen film because they often produce small films that would only show on TV and not in cinemas, which is what we are aiming for.

"Film4 Productions is a British film production company owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The company has been responsible for backing a large number of films made in the United Kingdom. The company's first production was Walter, directed by Stephen Frears, which was released in 1982."

I couldn't find the trailer for it on YouTube, because it was made quite a while ago, but here is the IDMB info for the film and some pictures:

Since the first film Walter, film 4 have gone on to produce many other films, a lot of which end up only being shown on TV.

however.

On the other hand, there is 20th century fox, a very big production company, that many people will know about.

20th century fox was founded much before Film 4, in 1935. 20th century fox is one of the six major American film studios as of 2011. Located in the Century City area of Los Angeles, just west of Beverly Hills.

20th century fox produces many TV series', as well as movies, unlike Film 4, such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, M*A*S*H and many other TV series' that are popular mainly by teenagers, but by many other age groups as well.

As 20th Century fox is very big, it has many other owners and divisions.

20th century fox has produced thousands of films, of many genres.

We would chose film 4 over 20th century fox as there is so much going on with 20th century fox, eg. so many other divisions and people who own it, and they therefore will probably be working on many other projects at the same time. Whereas film 4 is smaller, and slightly more reliable as there are not so many people to go through, and it will be more likely to be shown on a small scale, which 20th century fox would be unlikely to do, which is what we prefer.
